If you're like me, driving an older vehicle, doing your best to keep operating costs down, then I'm sure you know that regular oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, brake inspections, etc... well it just saves you money in the long run to stay on top of these things. Sometimes there's a noise or other symptom of trouble, or you've been told that your something-or-another is going out... someday soon.

And you know they're relatively simple things you could do yourself, if you had the tools, and the time, and didn't mind getting your fingers greasy. Hey, I get it. Doing this stuff isn't everybody's cup of tea, and that's fine. And I understand that feeling you get in your gut that the dealership is putting too much mark-up on everything.
